Our Team

Lindsay Thurwachter (She/Her) DVM, CVA, CVFT

  • Co-founder of Cathedral Animal Hospital
  • Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine
  • Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist
  • Certified Veterinary Food Therapist
Lindsay grew up in Arizona where she received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Arizona State University. She fell in love with the Pacific Northwest after moving here for vet school, and completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University in 2010. She likes to combine eastern and western medicine modalities to find the best care for her patients. Her medical areas of interest are soft tissue surgery, geriatric care, nutrition, and acupuncture. The best part of her day is when she gets to interact with clients and their pets, helping them foster healthy relationships, and assuming an active role in our community. In her time away from the hospital, she enjoys getting outdoors with her two shelter mutts, Sierra and Watson, biking with her husband, Miguel, gardening, playing pinball, and enjoying this beautiful city.

Nikki Graf (She/Her) DVM, CVA

  • Co-founder of Cathedral Animal Hospital
  • Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine
  • Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist
Nikki is a Pacific Northwest native and was fortunate to have been raised appreciating the amazingly diverse outdoors that we have. She completed her undergraduate degree (Pre-med with a Chemistry minor) in Bellingham, WA attending Western Washington University. Her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine was completed at Washington State University in 2010. After graduation, she completed an internship in Emergency and Critical Care at Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital. She fell in love with the challenges and fast-paced environment of Emergency Medicine and continue to work in ER/Critical care referral hospitals. Emergency Medicine is not only a challenge of rapid assessments in stressful situations, but also challenges the ability to communicate in an effective and compassionate manner. Nikki gets inspired by the human-animal bond that is profoundly evident in pets seen on an emergency basis as well as with the teams that help care for them. She became certified in veterinary acupuncture in a search for alternative modalities for pain management as well as a more holistic practice of medicine with emphasis on preventative health care. She is excited to continue her journey in Veterinary Medicine in a general practice setting where long-lasting relationships with clients and their pets will be nourished. Outside of work, Nikki enjoys surfing, snowboarding, cooking and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her partner, Andrew, and their terrier mutt, Roger.

And here is where she was introduced to the field of canine massage. Cas (She/Her)

  • Veterinary Assistant
My first experiences with animals started at a very young age running with alligators in my home state of Florida. My parents were the type that could never turn away a stray and encouraged us to love all animals. So we took care of everything from baby squirrels to stray kittens and puppies. We even rescued a few parrots along the way. After escaping Florida to the West Coast in 2012, I met the chihuahua of my dreams, Jasper. The deep bond I share with Jasper inspired me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I started as a kennel assistant and quickly moved to a veterinary assistant here at Cathedral Animal Hospital. I am excited to further my knowledge and experience in the veterinary field. I hold a Veterinary Assistant certificate, and I am CPR and Fear Free certified. In the future, I plan on pursuing the Veterinary Technician program. When I'm not caring for all the furbabies, you can find me painting, playing with Jasper and my newly adopted kitten, Grim Reaper, enjoying the Oregon coast, or planning my next Halloween costume.

In their spare time Alorea loves sewing for their cosplays, adding to their variety of collections, and doing outlandish makeup.

After falling for psittacines and trading one intelligent, beak-bearing non-mammal group for another he hasn't looked back!
